Linda Brown joins Broadspire as senior vice president of business strategy

PLANTATION , FLA. JANUARY 25, 2005 -- Linda Brown, an experienced executive in the workers' compensation industry, has joined Broadspire to serve in the newly created position of senior vice president of business strategy. Broadspire, a Platinum Equity company, is a leading provider of casualty and disability claims management and risk and safety consulting to companies in North America .

Prior to joining Broadspire, Brown served as senior vice president in Marsh Inc.'s national retail practice , where she was a senior client advisor for consulting services, working with more than 75 of the top 100 retailers in the United States. In previous positions with Marsh, she shared her knowledge and expertise in workers' compensation and integrated disability management with a wide range of employers and helped develop Marsh's workers' compensation and integrated absence management Best Practice Standards.

In addition, Brown completed more than 50 workers' compensation re-engineering projects that resulted in customer savings of 10 percent to more than 60 percent of program costs. Prior to her position with Marsh, Brown established and directed occupational health programs and served as a nurse case manager. She began her career as a registered nurse.

In her new position, Brown will lead Broadspire's efforts to develop new products and benchmark and report outcomes to customers. In addition, she will work with the marketing department to help define and support Broadspire's value proposition for its customers and prospects.

Brown graduated from Mattatuck College in Waterbury , Conn. with an AD in Nursing, and completed business management coursework at Post College in Waterbury , Conn. She is a licensed registered nurse in the state of Florida and is a certified disability management specialist.
