DANIELLE LISENBEY
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, BROADSPIRE
Danielle Lisenbey became chief executive officer of Broadspire in 2012.
Immediately prior to this role, she was chief operating officer for
Medical Services, responsible for the operation of all of Broadspire’s
medical and case management services. In this position, she drove the
continued development and delivery of products and services that have
generated cost containment results typically 10 to 15 percent better than those
produced by other TPAs and medical management companies.
During her tenure as chief operating officer, many new service
offerings were developed, including: the BOLD® Network,
a unique, state-stratified, multi-tiered approach to a preferred
provider organization (PPO) strategy; a durable medical equipment (DME)
formulary that applies the cost management principles of a pharmacy
formulary to medical equipment; and a new chronic pain protocol, a
multidisciplinary approach to addressing the complex chronic pain
conditions that drive the duration of workers compensation and
disability claims.
In 2011, Broadspire’s case management services were recognized
nationally with publisher Dorland Health’s Silver Crown award
for innovative services to the mature case management market and the
Platinum Award for overall case management services. Lisenbey was
named a Workers’ Compensation Notable Person by the LexisNexis
Workers’ Compensation Law Community for 2010.
Lisenbey’s career with Broadspire and its predecessor companies
began in 1991 as an operations supervisor for the medical bill review
unit. She was named vice president of medical bill review operations
in 2006 and promoted to chief operating officer for Medical Services
one year later.
Lisenbey holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering
and technology from Western Illinois University. She is a member of
The Society of Manufacturing Engineers and The National Association
of Women Executives.
NEIL LENTINE
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, CLAIM AND CLIENT SERVICES
As chief operating officer of claim and client services for
Broadspire, Neil Lentine is responsible for overseeing client
service management strategies, field claim operations, business
support services and carrier relations. He is also charged with
monitoring team member and client relationships. Lentine joined
Broadspire in 2003 after holding senior-level positions in claims
and client services for Kemper Risk Management and Reliance
National Insurance Company. Before that, he worked in claims
management at AIG and Liberty Mutual.
Lentine started his 26-year career in the insurance industry in
1985 after receiving a bachelor’s degree in political science
from Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
ANNETTE SANCHEZ
CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
As chief marketing officer for Broadspire, Annette is responsible for
sales and marketing for all of Broadspire’s products and services,
analytics and new product development. Her 26-year career includes
national business development, claim and management operations and
human resources senior leadership positions.
Prior to joining Broadspire in 2008, Sanchez was an executive vice
president responsible for national practice groups including workers
compensation, liability, medical management and non-occupational claims.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from
the University of South Florida.
BRENDA RARICK
RSG MANAGING DIRECTOR
As senior vice president, managing director of Risk Sciences Group, Brenda
Rarick is responsible for a continued, long-term risk management information
system (RMIS) strategy. Her focus is on innovative technology, effective
analytics and easy-to-use applications that help clients control their overall
cost of risk.
Rarick has 20 years of experience and has led a number of revenue-increasing
initiatives, including implementation of new systems and process reengineering,
and was primarily responsible for overseeing high-profile projects throughout
the company to ensure all are completed within time and budgetary restraints.
Before joining Broadspire, Rarick spent five years in the banking industry in
various supervisory and officer-level positions with financial institutions in
Michigan and Illinois. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration
and corporate finance from Western Michigan University.
DONALD R. GRAY
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT – CLAIMS
Donald R. Gray is senior vice president of claims for Broadspire. Gray is
responsible for the national field claims, medical bill processing and risk
technical center operations of all Broadspire branches.
Gray earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University
of Texas, Permian Basin, located in Odessa, Texas. He also holds an industry
designation of Senior Claim Law Associate (SCLA).
Gray has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Most
recently, he was regional manager of the southwest region for a third-party
administrator.
JACOB LAZAROVIC, MD
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER
Dr. Jacob Lazarovic directs the Medical Department at Broadspire. The department
produces clinical guidelines and criteria that support sound medical claim and
case management practices; participates in analysis, reporting and benchmarking
of outcomes and quality improvement initiatives; develops educational and
training programs that update the clinical knowledge and skills of claim
professionals and nurses; provides expertise that enhances the medical bill
review process; and operates a comprehensive and unique in-house physician
review (peer review) service.
Dr. Lazarovic held several senior medical management positions at companies
including HealthAmerica, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida and Vivra Specialty
Partners before joining Broadspire seven years ago. His responsibilities have
encompassed network development and contracting, utilization and quality
management, reimbursement programs and managed care oversight. Dr. Lazarovic has
published extensively, including a recent chapter in the Handbook of Complex Occupational
Disability Claims.
A board-certified family physician, Dr. Lazarovic attended medical school and
completed residency training at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and
practiced family and emergency medicine before entering into full-time medical
management.
MARK STERGIO
CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
Mark J. Stergio, chief information officer, is responsible for overseeing
Broadspire’s systems, application development and IT strategic initiatives.
Stergio joined Broadspire in 2007 with a strong insurance industry background
that includes nearly 25 years in various positions with The Hartford. His
diverse background includes leading initiatives in billing, claims, underwriting
and RMIS system development. Stergio’s expertise in multiple IT initiatives,
which includes designing and developing a new claims system, strengthens
Broadspire’s commitment to ultimately providing clients with the most effective
systems in the industry.
TAMI STEVENSON
GENERAL COUNSEL
As General Counsel for Broadspire, Tami E. Stevenson is responsible
for corporate licensing and compliance, customer and vendor contracts,
acquisitions and divestitures, among other duties. Prior to joining
Broadspire in 1997, Stevenson was senior counsel for Substance Abuse
Technologies Inc. and corporate counsel for Gulf Atlantic Management
Group Inc. She also was a staff sergeant and avionics technician in
the U.S. Air Force Reserve for six years, graduating with honors from
the Air Force Technical Training School and receiving an Outstanding
Achievement Medal during her service.
Stevenson earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of
Florida and a juris doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law.
She is a member of The Florida Bar.
ANITA DRAGE
VICE PRESIDENT – FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS
Anita has more than 30 years of in-depth experience in various fields
of finance including financial analysis, strategic planning and budget
administration. She joined Broadspire in 1998 as a Senior Financial
Analyst and her leadership throughout the years has helped strengthen
Broadspire’s financial position and profitability. She has
established new billing and reporting processes that impacted
performance and minimized costs. In her current role, Anita is in
charge of all financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting and pricing.
Prior to joining Broadspire, Anita worked for Alamo Rent A Car, Inc.
for 16 years, moving from Manager of Fleet Accounting to Director of
Financial Accounting Administration. She holds a bachelor’s
degree from Florida Atlantic University.
