Chronic Pain Management
Chronic Pain Management is a multidisciplinary approach to
addressing complex chronic pain conditions. Our expert clinical
staff of board certified physicians and nurses are the key to
properly evaluating the biopsychosocial influences of the problem
and creating a treatment plan for each individual. Our clinical
panel includes anesthesiologists, physiatrists, orthopedists,
psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses and the claims professional.
Each provides their input and distinct point of view to assess the
current and prior treatment provided to the employee.
The Chronic Pain Management Network At-A-Glance:
There are four distinct steps in Chronic Pain Management.
- Identification of potential candidates through data mining of medical
costs, utilization experience and referrals
- The Senior Nurse Reviewer’s triage uses a quantitative protocol to
select the employees best suited for the program
- Chronic Pain Rounds are performed by the multidisciplinary team of
physicians and case managers to evaluate the employees status and
recommend a comprehensive management plan
- Monitoring and follow-ups are then managed by the Senior Nurse
Reviewer and panel to modify the plan as necessary, until resolution
and discharge is achieved
By applying our depth of clinical expertise, developing value-added
programs with measurable outcomes and working with high quality
medical partners, we are able to help your employees, your company
and your program deal with chronic pain issues.
