Broadspire Introduces e-Billing
Beginning January 1, 2008, health care providers and insurance carriers in the
Texas workers compensation system are required to be able to exchange medical
billing and reimbursement data electronically. Electronic billing is expected to
reduce administrative costs, improve efficiencies and create faster results for
both providers and payers.
Broadspire has chosen Ingenix as our e-billing agent to provide a best-in-class
provider-to-payer solution that is in compliance with state workers compensation
mandates. Ingenix is a leading health information technology company, and
handles all aspects of a workers compensation claim, from submitting the first
report of injury (FROI) and the subsequent report of injury (SROI) to doing
e-billing and bill adjudication, and ensuring that state reporting requirements
are met. Broadspire is pleased to be working with Ingenix to meet the Texas
mandates and give providers a complete end-to-end workers compensation e-billing
solution.
All payers have been provided with a National 5 digit Payer ID. To route your
electronic bill to Broadspire, please utilize Payer ID TP021. Additional
information on how to submit electronic bills and receive electronic remittance
notifications can be located at the Ingenix web site,
wcc.ingenix.com.
Detailed information for electronic billing, reimbursement and documentation for
